The native Americans were some of the most brutal people who ever lived. The torture methods of the Comanche especially would make just about any interrogator from any nation in the old world, from Portugal to Japan, look like a giant teddy bear.

It went so far as actively praising people who killed and scalped women and children, and seeing it as the highest honor because it meant they had struck into the heart of the enemy. Which explains why the natives were unique in being particularly brutal towards white women and children vs men.

They attacked and absolutely brutalized not only whites, but also Mexicans and their own. They loved killing each other. Which us (and mexicans) exploited a lot to finally get rid of them.

They also had no sense of loyalty. Natives would up and leave their tribes to join American and Mexican scalphunters for money and firewater in the old west and massacre their own people. The apache were infamous for this, joining mexican scalphunters all the damned time. They did the exact same thing in the early colonies.

The decimation that Mexico inflicted on those fucks made the trail of tears look like a joke. It's also probably the best thing beaners have done for America (although, it was a lot less proper beaners and a lot more white spanish tejanos)

I distinctly remember one of the biggest pieces of propaganda being fed in school was about how badly White people treated the Indians. It was a never ending stream of "feel bad for the Indians" White man, and not once were we ever exposed to the cruelty or crimes of the Indians.

The worst thing about the Indians besides their cruelty was the fact that they were actually pretty intelligent (as far as savages go). They were a ruthless enemy that took hundreds of years for americans and mexicans to subjugate, and sometimes they were able to win at that. That's the only part of the "noble savage" myth that I'll give them credit for, they had some damned tenacity and willpower to them. They also aided the confederacy, so I'll give them some points for that.

Other than that, they were some of the most barbaric people who ever lived. They give African tribes a run for their money. If you pit injuns against bantus, the bantus would be wiped off the face of the earth in a few decades.

It was their brutality that justified their culling. The Spanish were much more lenient than the Anglos on this stance.
