Then, it seemed like people were so hazy about the definition that they used the word to sloppily describe anything remotely authoritarian, but that it was mostly just imprecision and a real definition still existed.
Then, it seemed the definition was belief in any authority at all, legal or moral, even if that authority didn't try to force you to do anything.
Then, it seemed like "fascism" didn't have any meaning beyond "beliefs that I hate".
Now, it is fully just a magic spell that tries to make it so other people hate the target, without any connection to fact, reason, or morality.
If you don't want troons to push LGBT in schools then you're authoritarian because you want the government to discriminate against a certain group and violate their freedom.
It's not the libtards that are committing the logical error. The logical error is committed by the cuckservatives who think they are the ones who champion "freedom", while freedom is a left wing liberal value by definition.
The left wants you to bake the cake, take the vaxx, use the pronouns, bend the knee, etc. But that's never "authoritarian".
But if I say "We should encourage people to get married and have kids, but obviously you don't have to", then I'm an authoritarian fascist.

Just because they hate being judged doesn't mean liberty is actually one of their values. They hate liberty. They just hate accountability more.
They don't believe in the concept of "negative freedom", therefore the lack of discriminatory laws is not sufficient; every kind of discrimination needs to be removed to ensure equality for weaker groups.
You're confusing the ends with the means. Suppressing the voices of those who are against equality is not authoritarian for them, because they look at your goal (e.g. erasing homos).
It's only cuckservatives who look at abstract principles like "freedom of speech".
You really need to understand the way they think.
