Slightly out of date. Having filled out the entire known periodic table with confirmed elements, it’s now 99.15% white-only. One element, Nihonium, was formally first synthesized in Japan by a joint U.S./Japanese team and confirmed to be possible independently by a Russian team.

So technically the nips discovered one, but that’s only thanks to trillions in US investment and rebuilding after WWII instead of simply annexing the Japanese archipelago and populating it with whites.

So, the Whitest of Asians, with the help of actual Whites, "discovered" (*synthesized* ) one element. Sounds mighty White to me.

IMO I think they just needed a push & that's why they're doing so well today. For example, Britain before the Romans consisted of chasing food, building little hill forts, and not having written language, but after the Romans came and showed them what they were missing, Britain quickly became a hub for innovation and discovery.
