> For the first time, ancient DNA has been recovered from the bodies of ancient Israelites living in the First Temple period
Jews: my_ancestor.jpg!
> the Y chromosome in the man belongs to the J2 haplogroup, a group of closely-related DNA sequences that is believed to have originated in the Caucasus or Eastern Anatolia
Oy veyyyyy!
Fortunately, Talmudic logic is here to save the day:
> If researchers gather more data confirming that most Israelites indeed shared this ancestry with the Canaanites, it would support something that experts have strongly suspected for a while, that in fact the ancient Hebrews descended from the Canaanites.
1. Everyone knows Jews are the ancient Israelites (because Jews say so).
2. Modern Jews actually have Canaanite DNA, not the distinct DNA of Abraham's origins in Ur.
3. Therefore, the ancient Israelites must have merely split off from the Canaanites - Abraham, the Exodus, etc. never happened.

FUN FACT 818 : Jews hate DNA. In recent years actual DNA analysis of Jews show that they are over 51% from Khazars far to the east, and most of their own origin story is wrong.

From this very story, they have a convenient reason to forbid DNA when it suits them:
> in Judaism, excavating or disturbing graves is a big taboo [...] archaeologists who find ancient graves are often pressured by ultra-Orthodox groups to quickly rebury any bones they unearth.
Perfect for the holohoax! We *know* mass graves exist, trust us. Can you see the remains? Nuh-uh, that's against muh religion.
