If you consider the fact that the baby was going to drink that milk anyway, it's more like a clever way to wean the kid onto solid food without buying overpriced goyslop mush in a jar.

Its for when the milk is too thick to feed directly to the baby. You can't just shove a bunch of cream in them and expect them to handle it well. My son would throw it up every time if we gave it to him as is, and it's definitely better then throwing it out. It was really great for helping him wean onto things like toast, which you can't put much on to soften because of the allergy risks under 1.

It was actually her pumped milk the fringe was about to go off so she just wanted to see if she could. I think it's a great idea, except she and some family members just took turns shaking it by hand all day (lol) I'm sure there is a more efficient was to churn small amounts.

But yeah it lasts longer as butter, better then wasting it.

Also advice is conflicting but I'm on the side of giving allergens early.

That's funny. We ended up doing the same thing, but seperated the fat beforehand so it didn't take long. Good arm workout for sure.

And yeah, I agree with introducing allergens early, I just was stating the common practice of most parents these days. Silly to wait until 1 to give them things unless you or your spouse is allergic already. It is pretty rare to have a child with no familial ties to an allergen.

Even if there is family allergies I saw another tiktok (😅) where they just sat in the ED car park and ate the allergen in question.
