If I'm correctly remembering the video the old marine is from, the context is accurate too. He was lamenting his hand in the destruction of his German brothers and especially regretful of the foul society that rose up without them to protect against it.
Dark, yes. Tragic, even moreso. But we mustn't forget, and the few Charlies out there that had the decency, integrity, and soulfulness to acknowledge these truths (now blatantly obvious with the benefit of hindsight) must be help up and have their burden eased with compassion. Especially when most of their comrades did nothing but enjoy the spoils and the fake-praise for murdering their brothers, plundering their lands, and raping their women.

Yeah I realized that after someone else shared the link above. Must've merged a couple different videos in my head, I remember a couple different Royal Air Force vets that called what was done to Dresden evil and realizing the Germans were not the enemy. I saw all of these particular ones a couple years ago around the same time.
I need to spend a good bit of time properly organizing all of the videos on my external hard drives because it's getting harder and harder to find this sort of stuff anywhere online, even on rumble, altcensored, and browsers like yandex. Downright impossible using normie sites & search engines. Pretty soon anything that is (((controversial))) which isn't stored offline will be completely shoahed.
