Nope. Plenty of priests still around by June 1941. And on 27 June 1936, the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union made abortion illegal again.
While this is another "unconfirmed rumor" Stalin attended school there before moving to Tiflis to join Tiflis Theological Seminary with the aim of becoming a priest.
Perhaps Russia could have become a legit theocracy.

Back in the day mothers would push their most useless son into the priesthood so they wouldn't get married and breed, and the better son's family would have more inheritance.

That would explain why so many bishops are useless cucks. Wonder how different things would be if better sons had been encouraged to serve God instead?
A main issue is that because Bishops are drawn from the masses, if the masses become weak and complacent (and infested with jewish heresy, which the boomers and goyest gen are especially guilty of thanks to eternal holocaust propaganda), the Hierarchy will be too. Its a double edged sword, because when the masses are based, so will the Church be.

The bolsheviks killed them all.
And without Stalin, the Soviet-Union would likely have been further left and Trotsky's side would have remained strong.
