Here's some important doctrine for you.
Captain Moroni was a great Nephite general that was not only able to successfully wage multiple wars against a superior enemy, but greatly expand the borders of his people.
His philosophy works something like this.
* God made a promise: "If you keep my commandments, you will prosper in the land."
* I have kept my end of the promise, as far as possible, and by the grace of Christ.
* Therefore, God promises to prosper me and my people in the land.
* So we will take up arms and fight and keep fighting until we win and never surrender an inch and use whatever device we can find to help us win.
God's promises are sure: If you keep his commandments, he will prosper you in the land.
Are you keeping his commandments?
If not (and none of us are worthy), FIND CHRIST. Put your complete confidence in him. Turn to God and turn away from your sins every day.
Now that you are keeping his commandments, it is time to achieve the promise God gave you.
PROSPER.
Become HEALTHY. Become WISE and INTELLIGENT. Become STRONG. Become WEALTHY.
DO NOT ACCEPT FAILURE. That is not why you are here!
Whether the United States survives or not is not our concern. Leave that to God. We should focus on making our situation as good as possible, and preparing for whatever future may come. We will do everything we can to save what is worth saving. That is all we can do.
