I have met an unbelievable number of young men in their 20s/early 30s talking about their anxiety issues. Them openly talking about it is already weird to me, but it's also very sad that so many have these kinds of problems.

Perhaps,these "young"men were coaxed into assuming these problems exist in their lives? *Brainwashing*,comes in various capacities.
