Got sick, lost my sense of taste and smell. Got on scamazon, looking for scented candles, because I'd like to smell something again, and I remember scented candles being really strong, strong enough I might be able to smell them. So I'm looking at the candles, and they're *all* fucking *soy* wax. Wtf... So much for that plan...

Any suggestions? I've already opened up every herb and spice container I own, can't smell any of it. Dojnt want any fucking soy either.

IT’S DA KOVID!

This sounds like maybe a more significant problem than the type of candle you’re after. Monitor this condition and if it persists for more than a few weeks now that you’re better, I’d suggest going to your doctor again…

I make a point of only buying paraffin if I need a candle. This soy bullshit is insidious. [DW Home](https://www.dwhome.com) (they’re cheaper at Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, etc.) smells good and is still non-soy.

What type of scents are you after? I can probably direct you to specific names in that brand, given how many we’ve bought or tried over the years.

Yeah, its probably the coof. Its not the airborn-ebola the media made it out to be, shocking I know.

Solid advice, and thanks for the link, I'll check them out.
I don't really care what scent it is, as long as its strong.

I’d start with Warm Tobacco Pipe and Sandalwood Myrrh, then. They’re probably the two most popular scents and they’re substantial.

Cool, I'll see if the TJ Maxx here has them tomorrow.

Have you tried whiffing eucalyptus oil?

Store-brand Vicks. Smells like nothing.

For posterity's sake,

What is your opinion on apple scented candles and how do they compare to the I-phone 4?

Some of DW’s apple candles are crisp and accurate to what an apple actually is. Others are covered up by their companion scents (the flower ones in particular) and aren’t worth the bother of getting them, particularly if you want “apple” to be what the candle represents.

Unfortunately I can’t compare to the iPhone 4 because I never got a chance to even play with one. I have an original iPhone and an iPhone 6. Ten years old and still going strong.

Oh, if you can get (local) raw beeswax on the cheap (might be hard, that), you can use it to make great candles yourself. I have a ton made up and put aside for what’s coming. Not sure I’ll even live that long, but we’ll see.
