Yeah you remember the first thing Trump did is cut taxes. But my taxes didn't go down. I think they even added an extra tax? It wasn't a giveaway, whatever it was. Maybe a shift in the tax burden.
That was his priority, shifting billions from banker to banker. That's what he used his pull with Congress and their time in power to do. That's what they could all agree on.
I'm anti-tax, but this bullshit with the tax code ain't it.

They also switched the way the tax bands were calculated to a different measure of inflation, so the bands would rise slower, meaning as your pay rises you will go into the next band sooner i.e. in the long run, a tax hike
They ain't never implement a Fair Tax, right? My theory is always: Someone gets a tax break or credit. They like to say it's the "middle class." But like say they are as liable to raise taxes while they lower them, in furtherance of a corrupt system.
Although. And I'm not a expert.. But the issue may have been less the nature of my job and more that i was living in a state that paid income taxes. IIRC they lowered some rate, but then raised the tax on taxes. Or something like that.
It's a tax on tax. I dont do it any more. I was working away from home for a while in a commie state. They do not have to tax money that you never see. That's how you get over 100% taxation. Yeah the states make the rules, but it's still the feds robbing me just cuz they can

Some of you clearly don’t have jobs.
