This guy was such an icon when I was a kid. We had a poster up in the back of the pizza shop when I was a teenager and my manager would challenge everyone to do push ups.

His internal compass probably isn't, but he represented badassery in the 80's and 90s... his image, anyway.

His physique was motivating, as was mowing down a bunch of browns in Commando.

I never found Schwarzenegger to be an icon, not even as a kid. I found him to be more like a caricature of a man. I think goofy is the word. Could not take him seriously, much like i can't take norris or nick cage seriously.

Imo Stallone was a better icon for "action man"

Then i found out he was flaming garbage. he cheated on her wife with their maid, had a kid with her.

I'd entertain goofy. I'm pretty sure he knew it was all ridiculous and just played along, especially back then.

But yeah, he ended up being a joke of a man. Has some great past accomplishments, but is morally bankrupt and infected with jew chaff.
