To be fair, most of these folks are changing their name because their family came to America or they’re getting into show business. All kinds of actual white people do that.

Yes, but the german side of my family just added an extra letter on localization to differentiate from the spelling jews with the same name used so as to not be mistaken for jews. They didnt localize the whole name, like the jews seem to do.
