Trials are white culture. We never do anything without due deliberation. It brings legitimacy and order to everything.
During the early Roman republic, the troops would through a javelin across the border before they crossed as a declaration of war. It doesn't matter if the enemy saw it or not, it gave their actions legitimacy.
I anticipate that the judge and jury will not be the appointed judges and juries from the fake governments. They will come from the militia. The judge will be a senior officer in the militia, and the jury will be members of the militia.
There will be no appeal.
People forget, the people are superior to the government. The people express their will in the form of the militia. The militia is literally the people. And they maintain all rights, powers, and privileges, even when government asserts the contrary.
You don't understand. Trials are carthartic and necessary.
If you just kill the bad guys, then no one will remember WHY you killed them. You have to put them on trial, present the evidence against them, let them make their lame excuses, and then kill them. Then you write everything down so that historians don't screw it up again.
Otherwise, you risk the chance that your enemies will infiltrate your society, label you and your people as evil tyrannical dictators, and rewrite history in their favor.
