Guy Fawkes was a (((Jesuit))), his actual legal name was Guido Fawkes, which wasn't his real name since he changed it after he ostensibly converted to Catholocism... yes, an Iberian who changed his name when he converted to Catholocism... a converso - actually a jew.

The reason he blew up parliament is incredibly counterintuitive too, the King was open to allowing Catholicism again, and Guido claimed it wasnt enough and blew up parliament, which of course resulted in another round of persecution for Catholics. Seems a bit false-flaggy to me, so your theor might hold water.
