The thing government fears is rebellion. All of their fearmongering and oppression is to prevent you from revolting.

Idiots who say, "They want a civil war!" display their immeasurable ignorance. They don't want conflict, because their is zero upside and plenty of room for shit to go sideways. They want you afraid and powerless, watching sportsball and in debt forever while they destroy you.
