Not that it has anything to do with this post. But in high school I ran a 1:57-something 800m, which was my best time ever. And in that race I didn’t even rank top three.

It’s insane to me that at the Olympic level, the women’s 800m field is running 1:56 to 2:00;, meanwhile pick some random 16 year old at a state track meet —> would still Smoke them.
