He did only once, during the campaign, say that he’d like to return to the gold standard. It was during a Q&A segment. Never mentioned again.

Internet sales tax has been a slow boil. Technically it was always due, but no one reported it and paid it voluntarily. Merchants are required to collect it if they are in the same state as the customer. It has been a slow rollout as merchants like Amazon expanded.
