We do inherit their problems and the consequences for their actions. You live amongst aliens, which is unfair, but it is something you inherited because of the actions and inactions of the people before you.

As I replied elsewhere, a perfectly just and fair God takes all of your circumstances and behaviors into account on Judgment Day. Burdening you with sins you had no hand in would be unfair, which is why it cannot be the divine way.
