Hard to believe, one too many zeros. With all that armor and technology they lost 10,000 to Soviet era weaponry and non-armored militia? This could be them crying wolf to show how serious of a threat Hammas is to escalate and nuke them already

In Vietnam America fought against the country of North Vietnam that had a proper military with modern aircraft and a shitton of anti-air weapons.
Never in the history of the world has a military lost to guerrilla warfare.
It didn't take long for the US to take down the Taliban in 2001. But after 20 fucking years they just couldn't convince the local population to embrace globohomo and they just gave up because it was too expensive. This is not a military defeat.
