It doesn't make sense to you because you're a Christian so your perspective is limited. You can only see the differences.

For me it makes perfect sense because the most fundamental things of the two religions are identical. Your creation myth is the same.

Your Bible contains the Hebrew Bible, so it's really just cognitive dissonance that you have.
