They seem to better as a deterrent force rather than outright killing them en masse. Ever time we havent had cats, our houses have had mice infestations, but when we do have them, zero mice.

Mice here must not care, I'd still get them with cats inside the house. Next winter I'll try peppermint oil around the perimeter.

No, just kidding. Peppermint works fantastic. I suggest keeping it out of the bedrooms because peppermint is a stimulant. Try lavender in there instead.
