# This Weeks Discussion Theme: [infooooolation]( https://www.supersurvey.com/resultsQSH0VU4BI)

Gas prices, supply problems, baby formula shortages, cryptocurrency and stonks falling oh my. In this weekly we take on the topic of infoooolation again.

Discussion ideas:
* What things have you noticed rise or fall in price recently? Do you know of any shortages or have seen any shortages in stores?
* What do you think is the reason for these recent spikes in inflation and when will things return to “normal”?
* Offer advice or share suggestions to mitigate the effects of inflation. E.g., what can you do / what should you do?

I'm stocking up on extra pantry supplies each week. Also shopping around and buying in bulk is essential at a time like this. Only buy that which is nutrient dense and thing you would eat regularly. No point in buying a 50lb sack of pinto beans if it's something you don't like.

Tips on thing to buy.
- Powdered milk, coconut oil, olive oil, various nuts and dried fruit. Buy a stack of tuna and other canned meets.
- But meat in bulk when you can. Separate in smaller than usual packages. If you normally use 1lb of ground chuck, reduce each pack to 3/4 lb.
- Buy butter in bulk if you use often, buy fresh eggs from a chicken ranch if able. I buy 90 eggs at a time. After a 3 weeks hardboil the remainder eggs and pickle them.
