I believe that people posting about their dead relative/friend on social media are attention seekers? I see a lot of people do that on music videos on Youtube.
 
I know people reminiscence about stuff they did/listened to with their past relatives/friends and are mourning them but posting about it on social media just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I'm looking into it too much and I'm just cynical as fuck but who knows?

I see. My cynicism is making me believe in the extreme where I suspect there's attention-seeking involved in making the post regardless of intentions.

I think those posts are annoying and pathetic, regardless of intent. No one fucking cares about their fucking dead father they used to hear the rock and roll song with.

Yes yes yes. Every music video someone mentions a dead relative, sometimes no context is even given.
