This topic has actually been something that has bothered me my whole life, but even more pertinent considering the state we find ourselves in with current day "society".

I've always been a bit of a hot head/quick to temper. The times I can think of where I succumbed to it were justified, however the blind rage and reaction are likely to lead to negative effect and cloud judgement.

Considering the state of things, and that my job literally revolves around me witnessing the absolute loss of humanity in society on a daily basis coupled with the fact that I've been coming to the realization this multiculturalism that I was raised on has been used against us has me in a constant simmer of anger. Something else happens and I'm reaching critical mass, feeling like I'm going to lose it.

Has anyone else experienced this and found good ways to channel it better, without it becoming an all-consuming blind rage that clouds normal judgement and critical thinking?

>Higher testosterone makes you calmer.

I'm not sure you're phrasing this correctly. I don't think it's testosterone, because testosterone makes you aggressive. It's low T that makes you shrink away from any challenge. However, that is not the same as being calm.

I believe rage manifests itself from feeling powerless or otherwise having your ego threatened.

I never get mad at or aggressive with my son, because I have all the power. I am completely soft-spoken with him. So it's not about testosterone. Also, if I have successfully intimidated someone with my wrath, I immediately become calmer. Almost strangely apologetic when I see them cower.

I'm not sure. I was way more wrathful as a kid than I am now, and I'm pretty sure T decreases with age.
