What they're talking about is that according the *official numbers of the narrative*, there were way fewer than 6 million Jews in western Europe (Germany and westward). More like 3 million, and another 3 million in Poland. So that's barely enough for the 6 million to be plausible, assuming Germany killed *all* of them, even in the parts of Poland they didn't control at first. In order to reach 6 million *plus millions of survivors*, you need to start counting large parts of Russia. But Germany never had strong control over Russia like they did Poland. Plus, ahead of the advancing Germans, most of the Russian Jewish population would have lived in or evacuated to the major cities that Germany never gained any logistical control over.

It would be deceptive to simply say "there weren't even 6 million Jews in Europe". But either Germany killed virtually every European Jew outside of Russia, or they managed to holocaust millions in Russia, during wartime, where their logistic limitations were already hurting them the most.
