What specialist skill/skills are you actively cultivating to assure your usefulness no matter the state of the world?

We hear all the gay commies thinking they'll be the poets and prostitutes after the revolution, but what real skills are you developing?

It shouldn't come as a shock to anyone to hear that relationships now days are almost always founded on sexual attraction as an important element especially in the early stages. It also should not come as a shock to hear that marriage has been turned into a risky proposition with high risks and few rewards rather than a binding contract that being in was required for social acceptance.

There will always be a large portion of men that women have no sexual desire towards but under a society that restricts women's independence and makes marriage serve a positive purpose then marriages of convenience will arise, sure a woman might not be sexually attracted to a man, but better to settle and live a fulfilling life than to remain single and be treated worse for it.
All this H1B stuff, it's nonsense.

The tech companies are hiring subpar developers who can barely keep pace with the dimmest bulb among the whites. The difference between the whites and the indians / chinese is the non-whites will lie to each other and their bosses about the state of the project. Hence, you get stuff like Zuckerberg unable to answer a phone call with his new glasses project. He was using a product based on lies.

I left the tech industry because it was dying. There was nothing new to write, nothing new to create, because all of the companies had been lying to the world about their tech and the lies were becoming more and more apparent as time went on. The internet doesn't solve many problems. Most people don't need it. At best, it's just a faster USPS or a more configurable telephone. Most of what people use it for can be handled by a telegraph service or fax machines.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when I discovered the huge amount of deception surrounding "AI". The models they were using were never going to work. None of the research suggested it would ever work. Even for simple things like character recognition and whatnot it was a terrible disaster, consuming way too many compute resources for otherwise simple tasks. And at best you'd get something like 85% accuracy. The amount of data and compute cycles needed to get to 90% was astronomical, and it was all exponential from there on. Somehow, babies were getting it right 95% of the time and they had a fraction of the compute power of what we were using to get it right 80% of the time.

Combine that with the fact that too many people were outright LYING about their results or their methodology. Remember the guy who started an AI company that was simply having underpaid indians do the work for them? Yes, the "mechanical turk" is still the best AI there is, and it always will be. Hire a guy, pay him a few dollars, and you'll get far more bang for the buck than you will trying to make a machine do the simplest task.

Anyway, the tech industry is what's holding our entire economy together. Most companies post modest profits and growth, which is perfectly fine if the inflation rate is sane or the economy is steadily growing. But it's not good enough to support the insane amount of investment we have in our economy. People are literally betting that we'll grow by 10% or more each year, and then being lied to about it. It's all a scam, and the heart of the scam is tech companies.

One day, tech companies will be valuated at their true value, and most people are going to lose all their wealth because of it. H1Bs are how tech companies are trying to maintain their value despite not having anything of value at all. They want to fill seats and deliver useless products built on lies just to keep the scam going for another few years.

One day we're going to wake up and realize that all of these foreign workers were just scamming us on an epic scale. They all have to go back. The sooner they leave the better it is for them. It's like quitting a company before the layoffs start. It's better to do that because you have a chance at finding a new job. Once the layoffs start, you're never going to find a job again.

They can take Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and all the other tech companies with them. I don't care. They don't provide any economic value to our country anymore anyway.
I realize even asking this topic is controversial enough but I don't get it. The more I've experienced Christianity in life, the less I respect it. I read the Old and New Testament from front-to-back and had far more respect for the Old Testament than the new but still found either book overly convoluted, boring and hardly useful or with solid purpose. Outside of the Bible itself, it's the people who call themselves Christians I cannot stand.

I have never met a Christian I have liked in life. Most are judgmental about the least important things and then forgiving about the most important of things.

What I mean by that is you might watch porn then some Christian will think you're a monster, lecture you on how porn is draining your mana and it's bad juju with as much mysticism in their rationale as a native shaman. And then someone will assassinate Charlie Kirk and they'll "forgive them". What the fuck is this bullshit?

Christian organizations are responsible for bringing immigrants. Christian organization are responsible for weak values that our enemies exploit. Christian organization do business with our enemies and take their money and promote their values.

Why do right-wingers cling onto the Christian religion when maybe 10,000 people worldwide practice a decent form of Christianity and all the rest are practicing some bastardized version?

When 999m of the billion followers are practicing "false Christianity" when does one accept that perhaps it's the 1m who are in fact false?

I have never met a good Christian, ever. I have met good people who were theist but not Christian or atheist but never Christian. I've seen all these "based Christians" online but I fear they must live in the countryside, never learning their homestead because I've live in nearly a dozen different cities and I've never met them out and about in the city among the average person.

Feminists are mentally ill and belong in care homes on drugs or the fucking dirt.
How you think technology works:

Some smart guy figures out how to put things together, wraps it in a nice package, and manufactures it within high precision. When you buy the piece of technology, it does exactly what the box says it does, nothing more or less, and it will work forever, provided you keep the batteries fresh or keep it plugged in.

How technology actually works:

Some smart guy is hired to try and make a piece of tech as cheaply as possible. It need not be 100% perfect, nothing ever is, but "good enough." Other smart guys figure out how to manufacture the dang thing and get like an 80% success rate, high five each other and go home. Someone else needs to figure out which ones work and which ones don't, and more often than you realize, they pass of stuff that doesn't work. Then you get the product shipped to you, and it arrives in an unknown state, probably having been dropped several times from an ungodly height no less. Some poor stocker boy takes it out of the big box and puts it on the shelf, where it is manhandled by the unwashed masses before you decided to buy it. Another trip but this time you leave it in your car while you do grocery shopping, and it gets over 120 F inside the packaging. When you do plug it in, there are power surges and spikes and all sorts of issues that you don't really understand and it's a miracle if it works at all.

The point is this: The way media presents technology is as if some lab-coat wearing scientists applied their theoretical knowledge to create the pinnacle of human innovation and are more than happy to sell it to you, the consumer, in a pristine and perfect state for pennies on the dollar. A lot of you have very unrealistic expectations about how things work and you probably know, through experience, that your expectations are regularly ruined.

Those of us who work on the "other side" (think Morlocks vs. Eloi -- we're the morlocks, you're the eloi) know the reality of the situation. Nothing works, ever. It's a miracle if it does work. The trick is to take two things that don't work and are incompatible and somehow make them work better together. Then we put error bars as wide as the solar system around everything, and then our bosses remind us that we have to use physical matter to create our machines, and that time and space costs money, and so we have to scale it back until it is reasonable.

The best engineers can figure out how to provide something that actually works at the prescribed price in a reasonable amount of time. That's why we all look up to people who build bridges. Anyone can build a bridge that works and lasts a 1,000 years. It takes someone special to build a bridge that costs a fraction of that ideal bridge and only lasts 100 years, which is about as long as we need bridges to work for before they are torn down due to becoming obsolete.

If someone is telling you their tech works, they are selling you something that doesn't exist. That's how you could've known AI was a scam from the beginning: They kept saying it really, really works over and over again.
