I follow a wellness doctor on Youtube called Paul Saladino. He's been an ardent advocate for healthy living (eating, exercise, habits, etc.), and critic of the modern poisons prevalent in our lives (junk food, seed oils, processed sugar, etc.). He recently did a podcast with Tristan Scott (electrical engineer and healthy living advocate), where they discussed the negative health effects of various forms of modern artificial lighting and modern use of other electromagnetic radiations (like radio waves). Topics included light bulbs (where LED and fluorescent bulbs emit a very limited light spectrum), predominance of blue light in the modern world (via light bulbs and phone/computer screens), lack of exposure to the total spectrum of sunlight (as glass windows reflect a lot of it, since over 70% of sunlight consists of the infrared spectrum), the pulsation/frequency of modern light bulbs causing fatigue and other negative effects, and the dangers of radio waves (like cell phone signals, Wifi, and very low radio waves given off by electronics).
It's a long podcast (a little over 3 hours), but it was worth a watch, and I wanted to share it with y'all. Forewarning, that Paul does occasionally shill for his own company, which sells healthy foods. But, they stick to the topic, talk about relevant studies, the health effects, and what people can do to prevent the negative health effects.
As an anecdote, I specifically remember being told as a kid that a lot of the concerns around radio waves (specifically those given off by power lines) were roundly "debunked", but the studies and information that's discussed on this podcast shows that isn't the case. As for all of the other stuff they talk about, I'd either not heard it before, or heard it in passing and didn't do any deep dives into researching it, as I'd been told this was all "pseudo science" by my teachers in school or other "authority" figures. If anyone has any relevant information, please share in the comments. God bless you all and have a great weekend. Here's the podcast:
