On August 15, 1871, Pike told Mazzini that after World War Three is ended,
those who aspire to undisputed world domination will provoke the greatest social
cataclysm the world has ever known.

We quote his own written words (taken from
the letter catalogued in the British Museum Library, London, Eng.):


"We shall unleash the Nihilists and Atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable
social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of
absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then
everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of
revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude,
disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will be from that moment without
compass (direction), anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its
adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure
doctrine of Lucifer brought finally out in the public view, a manifestation which will
result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of
Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time."

I just learned the other day that the Visigoths and most Germans who originally converted to Christianity converted as Arians which means they didn't believe in the holy trinity. They believed Jesus came from God but wasn't God.

Truthfully, this is what I've always believed about Christianity also but I never knew the term was Arian or that it was a fairly popular belief until the Catholic Church forced everyone to convert to the Holy Trinity belief system.

Only finished the first one so far, but it goes into a bunch of "isms" from the Catholic view that have been "crises", and I recall this set of lectures being referenced by other "traditionalists".

One thing that popped out at me that I'd think this community would discuss was the author attacked nationalism as being divisive and related to heresy. Yet, I'm guessing what people here call "nationalism" the author might think of as "patriotism". Still, there are various heresies that arise from nationalism (and I haven't seen that topic discussed openly as much), and various "nationalistic" (patriotic) impulses that to me seem fine with respect to Catholicism.
