I tried some goat for the first time in my life. The guy who traded the goat told me you can just eat it like hamburgers. It was ok, I guess, but there was a gamey flavor to it.

Where it really tasted best was with taco seasoning in a burrito or quesadilla. For some reason, those particular spices work really well with goat meat, so much so that I don't think I can enjoy taco meat unless it is made from pasture-raised goat.

I recently slaughtered a sheep, a wether that was almost 9 months old. He was a big dude. I was surprised at how much fat there was on him despite being on pasture. The fat was also white, not yellow, and there was hardly any smell to it. We saved the guts because apparently sheep intestines are heavenly. I am going to try and get some rack of lamb cut up and maybe we'll have a fancy Sunday dinner. The legs can be roasted and the rest of the meat chopped up into lamburger.

I'll let you know how it ends up tasting. For the record, this is a hair sheep, not a wool sheep. The breed is mostly dorper.

I think it's rather surprising how easy it was to get this sheep up to weight. Using temporary electric fencing and rotating them every 2 days or so, there was so little work I had to do it is ridiculous. The sheep are destroying the weeds and the brush and they are not eating the grass to the ground like I worried they might. The pasture that they leave behind is clean and ready for cattle.

I think after a couple of years of doing this, I'll have all the meat I can possibly eat for pennies on the dollar. Or, I can take the surplus and sell it at the sale barn and get at least $150 per lamb, if not $250 if I time it right. Each ewe should give me 1.8 lambs each breeding cycle, and if I breed them every 8 months, that's 2.7 lambs every year -- $500 in the sale barn. 100 ewes can support my family easy, plus I will never have to buy meat or meat products ever again, cutting the grocery budget down significantly.

The "big secret" that you can find published in pretty much any self-help book published before the 1940s is simply this: Spend less than you earn and invest your savings wisely.

There was a fellow here posting about how he felt he was trapped in slavery. Let me tell you: slavery has been going on since the dawn of mankind, and people have been BUYING their way out of slavery for just as long.

Spend less than you earn. Invest your savings wisely.

Take an assessment of your life. Where is your money coming from? Where is it going to? No matter what, never spend more than you earn. In fact, when money comes in the door, immediately take a chunk of it and put it in your savings, whatever form that is. Then, with the leftovers, go ahead and buy your food and clothing and such. If you can't afford it -- don't buy it. Learn to go without. Your ancestors lived on way less than what you think you need to survive.

Don't get into debt. Debt is for losers. If you borrow today what you pay back tomorrow -- you are enslaving your future self! If you are in debt, do whatever it takes to get out of debt, RIGHT NOW. Remember that BANKRUPTCY is a last-ditch effort to reset your life, so don't be hesitant to take advantage of it if necessary.

And because bankruptcy is an option -- you can settle, RIGHT NOW, your unsecured debt for pennies on the dollar. The credit card companies would rather get something than nothing.

Don't be stupid about this. Be smart with your money.

Invest that money wisely! Don't give OTHER PEOPLE that money so that THEY can get rich! Start today investing in your own businesses and buy things that are worth money now and forever.

The ideal life is this: You make money by doing nothing because your investments grow over time. You only ever work for yourself, building your own wealth. You have such an abundant life that you don't know what to do with the surplus, so you give it to God, your children (especially), your extended family and dear neighbors, WISELY, so that they too can succeed.

I think when you compare men and women together, the breakdown of nature vs. nurture is probably something like 50/50 where 50% is nature and 50% is nurture; however, I believe women are more prone to nurture and men less prone. I would surmise that for men, it's more like 80%/20% nature/nurture and for women, it's more like 20%/80% for nature and nurture.

I think this is why women are far more likely to take a nurture/culture influences everything stance whereas men are less likely to take this stance than women. Women are projecting themselves onto their belief. For women, nurture plays a huge role. This is also why women are more likely to be permanently damaged by their past influences, whereas men are far more likely to get over past trauma. For women, this trauma shapes them entirely (80% of their being is shaped by their past) but for men, it does not (only 20% of a man's being is shaped by his past).

Obviously though, this 80/20 between men and women varies with some men probably being closer to 20/80 and some women being closer to 80/20 but on a normal curve where the mean is 80/20 for men and 20/80 for women.

I think in the question of nature/nurture we need to look at it more through the lens of a gender bias. The lack of gender evaluation of nurture/nature causes significant issues.

For example, when it comes to immigration, many White people think we can bring in military aged males and just "educate" them but it doesn't work that way. On the other hand, we might be able to bring in young girls and "educate" them BUT it would make sense to neuter the women so they cannot procreate, otherwise their genetics carryforward to possibly create a man who would then be inferior and no amount of culture could correct for it.

I wonder if anyone has any data on my hypothesis? I'm pretty sure I'm probably right but I don't have any data to support it. Essentially the Y chromosome is likely the "static" variable that creates this unchanging essence of the man "nature" and the X chromosome is the one whose nature is more easily influenced by the environment rather than the internal program. That would be my hypothesis anyway.
