It’s also a perfect example of history being changed, and rewritten slowly but surely over time to the point where if you brought it up to normies, and even some of the biggest NBA/basketball fans, they’d call you a liar, and a hater in this case instead of “racist”. Some how, I’m sure they’d find a way to call you a racist too since the rules would affect niggers more than anyone. Lmfao.
Edit: HOLY SHIT, this was in the comment section. WHAT A FUCKING GEM!
“Recency bias is a powerful thing.
Most people just have absolutely no idea how much the rules have changed... But, worse still, they just assume that players in the past were too stupid, or just otherwise unable to figure out how to invent modern dribbling techniques until the 80s or 90s, as if there could somehow be multiple generations of high-school, college, and professional players who just never thought of doing those things since basketball first became popular around the 1890s.
Modern dribbling techniques didn't require anywhere near as much creativity or intelligence to develop as you think. People were doing a lot of this stuff long before it was even legal on their own time, or in pickup games, but if it had been legal, almost all of these techniques, if not all of them, would have been developed within less than 10 years of the beginning of professional basketball.
Remember, we all suffer from a variety of common human cognitive biases. The fact that all of these supposed basketball experts can be so insanely wrong about this stuff should be a reminder for YOU to be more mindful of your own biases, and to go out, and try to learn about what all of the common human cognitive biases are, so you can better guard against them.”
