> Omar then confronted Hendrix, asking if he had heard her correctly.
This alone should disqualify this entire case. You don't get to "stand your ground" and "chase someone down with questions." You have to pick one.
> Omar following behind asking her to explain her actions. Hendrix responded, "mind your fucking own business"
Seems pretty cut and dry.
> When Omar asked if that would justify her use of the slur,
Thank you for demonstrating that "hate speech" does not actually exist. Omar, btw, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16 year old run away. So you can see his commitment to social morality hasn't waned at all.
I was reading the other day and someone made the case that Washington was somewhat embarrassed about his freemason past. Much later in life he even seemed to denounce the practice and expressed regret that he had ever participated in rituals with them.
Then there's the whole Hamilton, a strange dude all around, vs Burr, a definite traitorous british agent hellbent on the destruction of the republic and it's eventual return into british hands. He got a lot of things sideways, and a lot of his ideas were twisted after his death, but his heart did seem to be in the right place.
Franklin. I'll give you that. The guy spent his whole life into all kinds of "secret societies" and seemed to eagerly participate in the earlier forms of the "deep state" for his own aggrandizement.
Anyways.. had to be a fucking hell of an environment pulling off a revolution.. and most of that history has been erased.
