Yes and no. The Saturn of hellenic/roman myth had a duality. He was a god of life but he was also the consumer of his own children. But the aryans worshipped the higher principle of Saturn (except on saturnalia, and human sacrifice was still off the table even then).

Moloch is Saturn stripped of his higher properties and turned into the basal god of an eternal death cult that demands human sacrifices for cheap rewards. The passing of children into the flame for moloch is analogous to saturn consuming his children. The romans had no troubles conflating moloch with Saturn, they knew the similarities, but Saturn represented a higher purpose to the roman than to the carthaginian.

Henceforth, there are *two* saturns. The creator Saturn, who merged into Yahweh through conflation, and the destroyer Saturn who became moloch or Satan. To the roman, or to the greek, Saturn was the ruler of the Roman golden age of humanity, or effectively God in the garden of eden. Saturn was considered God's throne by early Christians. It's the 7th planet, it has 7 rings, lucky number 7, 7 is the last and highest layer of heaven in traditional cosmology.
