In *The Odyssey,* the whole point is Odysseus overcoming the most horrific, ghastly and supernatural obstacles to get himself and his men home.

In Christopher Nolan's movie -- which is based on feminist Emilly Wilson's deconstruction -- Odysseus is indecisive, wallowing in regret of every mistake and even guilt-ridden for being "inhospitable" and defeating his enemies in battle. It's emasculating poison for young men.

If I would write some story with heroic characters, I'd have one major character declare that he remains behind and fight till death, so that the others can escape. Then that character rushes into the battle, dual wielding swords, knowing very well that he sacrifices himself so the others can survive. He manages to cause the enemies to come to a halt, to distract them by offering himself. He charges into battle fiercely, fighting like a berserk, slashing enemies and getting injured himself. But while he got injured, the majority of blood he was covered in was from his enemies.

They were keeping their distance, because every time one of them approached, he got slashed up instantly. They have the numbers, why can't he just die? Realizing that his enemies were terrified, he constantly rushed into them, taking a few with him, as they stepped back in horror. Nobody wanted to die there, just over some maniac who should be long dead.

That is just one of the people they are chasing, which made them realize that the rest are just as vicious and fierce as he is. They lost formation, and as some of them fled it caused a chain-reaction. They all started to flee the scene.

That character fought a fierce battle, and his courage and skill was utterly overwhelming. He didn't fear death, his greatest fear was to not kill enough, to not fend them off for long enough. Instead he returned to his mates, who looked back from afar, realizing that he is still alive.

This is the type of heroic story I'd make. Not that ridiculous tranny-faggot-nigger bullshit.
