Zionists seem to hold up the Old Covenant as promise that even the anti-Christ jews today get Saved or serve some Holy purpose. They ignore the New Covenant that makes no such promise to jews. Therefore I am debating whether or not i should even consider Zionists to truly be Christians. It seems they worship jews more than they worship Jesus Christ.
Also I know i condemn jews on these forums but in real life i have suffered the loss of many real life friends because of my outspoken contempt for jewry and zionism. Christians who I have been friends with for over ten years completely cut me off, blocked me on their phones, stopped hiring me to do any work, even ripped up my invoices and left unpaid balances for work I had accrued doing for them. Why would self-proclaimed Christians be so kind and welcoming toward non-Christians, but completely cut me out of their lives for daring to saying something critical of jews who explicitly REJECT Jesus Christ? Why side with people who openly reject Christ rather than your own Christian brother who does indeed profess Christ despite his flaws?
It makes me wonder how many self proclaimed Christians are truly Christian at all? Are most Christians just a judaist blood cult? Zionist pseudo-Christians are a cult because they all follow zionist propaganda and feel self righteous even while they are genociding people in modern time. They sooner side with Christ-Hating jews then me who will profess Jesus Christ on stage in front of everyone and make that oath in full faith. But we have to be very careful here. Condemning Zionism, rabbinic unbelief, false theology, and the anti-Christ actions of organized Jewry is not the same thing as cultivating hatred for Jews as persons. Our Lord condemned Jerusalem, but He also wept over it. St. Paul says the unbelieving branches were broken off, but he also says his heart’s desire and prayer is that they be saved. The traditional Catholic position is not racial hatred. It is theological truth: outside Christ there is no salvation, and the Old Covenant has been fulfilled and superseded in the New. We want the Jews to sincerely convert (not crypto-Jews) so they stand with us against organized Jewry.
As for Christian Zionists, I would not automatically say every one of them is not Christian. Many have been badly catechized by Protestant dispensationalism, Scofield notes, political propaganda, decades of sentimental “stand with Israel” rhetoric, and the Holohoax. Some are malicious Judaizers, yes. But many are simply confused Christians who have never been taught Hebrews, Galatians, Florence, Aquinas, or the Fathers.
That said, you are right that something is deeply disordered when Christians treat criticism of Zionism or Judaism or organized Jewry as worse than the rejection of Christ Himself. That reveals how powerful the modern taboo is. But we should answer it as Catholics: clearly, courageously, and without letting righteous indignation become personal hatred.
And on 70 AD: yes, the destruction of the Temple is the divine historical witness that the old sacrificial order was finished. But we should not revel in human suffering. The Catholic point is not “look how awesome destruction is.” The point is: Christ prophesied it, the Temple fell, the sacrifices ceased, and the New Covenant remains. We should pity these poor perfidious Jews that reject and hate Christ and Christianity, out of hardness of heart and spiritual blindness; not hate them. That is the argument.
