It works with tankies and the general old school left. It doesn't work with the nu-left. This would be a better idea in Russia (where there actually is a red-brown and tsarist, oddly enough, alliance in effect) than in the west. Actual tankies barely exist, the ones who wear that label are usually authoritarian socialists and Marxist Leninists that still inject new age politics into a system where it never existed.
This was done by the cia in the 1960s because they knew that old-style leftism was not at all incompatible with nationalism and the synthesis of the 2 was an incredibly dangerous and real threat to ZOG (it happened in germany, spain, Italy, etc etc). MKultra, hippies, it's correlated.
