You guys REALLY need to read Trump's books.
This is CLASSIC Trumpian strategy. It's so obvious it's ridiculous you don't see it.
What motivates Trump, and he said this multiple times in his books, is not money. He wants to build the most amazing things ever built. He is obsessed with construction.
Trump is also a big risk taker. If there's no risk, there's no point in doing it at all.
Trump also loves sealing impossible deals. The way he negotiates looks like this: (1) Put down everything he wants on the table. (2) Force the other side to state what they want. (3) Pass the honesty test. He will NOT negotiate with liars and deceptive people. (4) Show the other side how his wins are their wins, and vice-versa. (5) Come to a PARTNERSHIP that will be perpetually mutually beneficial.
You guys MUST understand that Trump will spend millions to go after someone who has stole hundreds from him. He cares deeply about justice and he sees his role in this world as the one person who has the luxury of enforcing it.
You MUST also understand that he doesn't want a deal that is one-sided. He wants BOTH sides to win. Look at the negotiations with Russia. At times it looks like he is negotiating FOR Russia against Ukraine, because he is. He took Ukraine out of the negotiations because he doesn't respect Zelensky or the entire political class there. He's doing the same thing with Iran. If Iran is smart, they'll meet Trump and follow his formula -- it's their best hope for the future.
Mark my words: A year from now, more or less, Trump's most powerful allies will be Iran and Russia. Ukraine will not exist anymore. Europe will be done as well -- they've stabbed him in the back too many times. He may also give Asia completely to Japan, since they are the only ones who seem to understand anything.
