I'd suggest going for the most simple and economical way. Machetes work very well.

Do you know which comic movie I like? Not that I like them much anyway, but one stood out - Watchmen:

"Do it? Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my master-stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome? I did it 35 minutes ago".

And he, the "villain", won. I'd do it the same way.
