He goes on to claim that Christopher Columbus and many of the Spanish Colonialists were actually expelled Marranos (crypto jews) from Spain. It's plausible although i cannot 100 percent confirm this theory. I consider it unlikely that most of the crews were jews themselves, though it might be possible that many of the spanish conquests were funded by jews for the exploitation of gold or merchant products, slaves, etc.
