No shit but he was and will remain a traitor to falangism and carlism, as well as a weird fetishist for Islam that set the precedent for his successors to be so brazen and open about doing this shit. I mean, hitler and mussolini also had an affinity for Islam, but Franco took it to another level entirely.

Plus Franco abandoned corporatism and pursued soulless liberal GDP over preserving a national identity. Spain became a colony of the United States and with his death came all the bullshit from America in tandem. Salazar was the better Iberian dictator and was a real fascist, Portugal is still much more right wing than Spain to this day because the legacy of estado novo actually exists.
