Meh. The catholic church wins big with ecumenism and made the protestant issue a lot worse (and caused the great schism in the first place) by being overly heavy-handed in the past. Plus, the pope doesnt exactly have the power anymore to roll in and kill all of them. Leo isn't pro-any of these things, but the catholic church is getting a whole lot of conversions from Anglicans in particular by promoting ecumenism. Some of these conversions are from high ranking priests and bishops. By being more friendly with the Anglican church, the catholic church is effectively siphoning its membership. Especially since around the end of the troubles.

I think that the modern church is somewhat shifty, and operates within a set of confines put in place by (((outside forces))), but a lot of times tradcaths (and the orthodox) have an issue with sensationalizing *everything* the pope does as some enormous blasphemy and a disgrace to Christianity when it's simply... not like that a majority of the time and the actual reasons behind things they say or do are often blown way out of proportion, misinterpreted, or just completely made the fuck up.

Furthermore, I consider that Israel must be destroyed

I dunno, man, sounds like they're just abandoning their holy mandate to win earthly political victories. Like, how many Anglicans would you need to convert to make up for accepting soddomy?

But they never did, no pope ever accepted Sodomy and the catholic church is still against it. They don't kill people for being faggots anymore, but what they *do* say is "you can join the church if you're a faggot but you must repent for your sodomy", more or less. And this has pretty much been the case for the entire existence of the church, nothing changed except that the church no longer has legal jurisdiction over people who are faggots in practice. And if we look at a map, we can see that it is usually the catholic and orthodox countries in Europe that are still actively against faggotry in the general populace (with a few exceptions) over protestant ones. Why? The church still teaches against sodomy, whereas protestant churches vary significantly and often follow trends because they have no dogma to be binded to.

>abandoning their holy mandate to win earthly political victories

But I mean, again, what are they supposed to do? Lash out and condemn the Anglican archbishop? They would be cool and all but the reality is that A: the pope doesnt have anything except power over the catholic church, and B: this behavior caused people to distance themselves from the catholic church in the first place.

One of the big underlying goals for the catholic and orthodox churches is healing the schism(s) and bringing people back into what they both perceive as the true church founded by Christ, and this has been a big deal for them since the bygone era when gnostics and judaizers split from mainstream Christianity. It's been a 2000 year long mission. Nowadays it is impossible for the pope to do this by the sword, so it has to be done politically and with semantics. And to be honest, the ecumenism has been a drain on this heresy because the reason that this grew in the first place was because of how hard-hearted the church actually was towards them (certainly justifiable, but it accidentally led to their proliferation and spread instead of extinguishing them)

I do have my own misgivings with the post-Vatican II church, but the shit that some of the terminally online internet trad catholics say about the papacy is just completely wrong and it's clear that everything they say about the papacy happens to be information from a positive feedback loop where they only hear what they want to hear and obfuscate for themselves any nuance

Furthermore, I consider that Israel must be destroyed

Funny how the incidence of children being raped by priests utterly exploded only after this began, isn’t it.

You should know better than that. Sexual abuse is extremely rare in the church, it was blown out of proportion by the kike media.

Although, yes, accepting faggots wouldn't have helped anything.
