Dispensationalists honestly baffle me. It is utterly insane how just slapping some bullshit footnotes on a few passages from the Bible can *completely* invert how Christianity actually works.

Furthermore, I consider that Israel must be destroyed

Well, when you're taught something is the truth, from the time you're 6 years old until the time you're in your 30s and 40s or older, It's not so easy to let go of your beliefs and change them-even if presented with overwhelming evidence.

They will have to overcome years of teaching and their own ego and being surrounded by people who believe the same things. That's asking a lot from most people.

When I became a Christian at the age of 28 back in 2000, I was taught and believed in dispensationalism as well. It took about 2 years of Bible study for me to realize that it wasn't right and wasn't inspired doctrine at all.

Plus, it has a devious effect on their ego. Think about it, what it comes down to is....'everyone who didn't believe the thing I believe and who dared questioned it, they're going to be made to suffer while I get the chance to say "I told you so" over and over while I get to rule over them. '

You can see how that could capture a person's ego.
So on one hand, I get kinda angry about disp. Because it's a false teachings, that's easily disprovable, but on the other hand, I can see how it can be hard for someone to come out of that belief system as well.

I mean, I lost friends over it when I started questioning it, and the reason I was questioning it was because I was a new Christian and wanted to know more.

Most Christians don't study their Bible like you have, leaving them open to deception

That is exactly what I forgot to include. The vast majority of dispensationalists are not doing their due diligence in studying their Bibles on their own. They take what their pastor says and runs with it, never questioning anything.

Yup. And I think when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, no one questioned or even realized how much the movement had been taken over by pro Israel pastors who were probably being paid off
