Paganism predates all. Pagan animism is the universal original condition. This is clear but your mind is not. Animism is not a religion of worship, it is a religion of connection. Worship takes the bliss of connection and stomps it to the curb with excess.

God predates all and created everything including animals with the Word. He created Adam, the White man, and Adam did not worship animals.
