Keep in mind, though, that lots of nutrients that are in vegetables, fruits, seeds, and the like aren't bio available to humans, meaning they're not readily absorbed in the human body. In fact, a very small percentage is. So even though seeds may contain a lot of nutrients, very little is absorbed in our body. This is because they contain various anti-nutrients (like oxalates, phytates, and lectins) which prevent absorption of the nutrients. Plants can't run away like a prey animal, so they form chemical defenses to try to deter animals from eating them, especially seeds, which is one of the reasons seed oils are so damaging to our health. Those anti-nutrients can also build up in our bodies leading to chronic health problems.


In contrast, animal products, like meat, fat, organs, milk, and eggs, don't contain anti-nutrients and have nutrients which are very bio available to us. This is one of the reasons why people cure a lot of health issues by switching to keto and carnivore diets.
