Even the produce is nutrient deprived these days. The soil is depleted, but instead of using proven methods like rock dust to restore the soil, they just slop on more glyphosate and petroleum-derived fertilizers to make the plants grow in bad dirt.

Yeah they’re doing it deliberately. For the same reason they feed the livestock microplastics and cardboard boxes.
