I like that it is asking the Lord to sort them out rather than asking for the strength to do it themselves. We shouldn't be trying to fix the world, all they have to do is choose to follow Christ and they will be saved, it's not our place to try and force them to believe.

Except God is the one who blinded them in the first place as punishment for their perfidity.

Consider the addict who becomes blind to their situation even though they are the ones who sought it. They cannot fix themselves; they need God's grace.
