Yep. It's just like homosexuality, a divent, perverted mental illness. But like with celibate gays, non-offending paedophiles always carry a risk of one day giving into their disgusting desires, especially when the opportunity to do so seems easy (like teachers or priests with access to, and authority over, and trust of children.) Just like a pit bull; it's not their fault that it's nature is to cause harm, but better to put them down humanely as a preventative measure.

Yes, I think a very real risk exists. And I don't know what the solution is: I want to have compassion for people who are struggling, but sometimes they are so dangerous that we cannot live with them, and a lot of the decay in the US has happened because liberals believe that everyone is a blank slate who can change for the better, excusing or justifying all abhorrent behavior. Maybe the simple flowchart is: If you volunteer that you are a pedophile, we will physically castrate you. If you do not come forward, you can live your life if you do not harm anyone, but we will execute you if you rape a child.
