Judaism is admittedly the Pharisee cult that arrived shortly before Jesus. When you see Jesus talk about the Pharisees he is talking about them, though they didn't have anywhere near a complete religion yet. The Sadducees were the priests and nobility. As you see in their own websites the old Priests believed in the written bible Torah and took it literally and the Pharisees did not. Judaism does not follow the bible AT ALL. They claimed an Oral Torah later called the Talmud that wouldn't even be written down for another half a millennia after Jesus. It STILL wasn't a complete religion though and we will get into that in a bit.
The Pharisees had no power in the religious community because they were mainly refugees. They were not from the Priest bloodlines they had no lineage or anything to prove they were Israelite (and still don't and never will).
