Thanks for that. I just checked the etymology on Pardon; noun - "papal indulgence, forgiveness of sins or wrongdoing" aka "a passing over of an offense without punishment"... https://www.etymonline.com/word/pardon

So shysters using a pardon as a rabbinic pass over ritual upon a jew in response to the gentile interference by lynching.
