Lol, I don't even have a refrigerator and I still cook for myself while eating relatively healthy.
My core meal is canned roast beef, instant potatoes, whey, powdered milk+peanut butter+cheese+veggies, olive oil or ghee, mix together in water and add spices. Throw it in the 12v oven for an hour. Splash on Tobasco after and it's pretty f'n tasty.
I eat this nearly every day, around 1k calories and ~110g protein. Usually I make up the remaining calories with some combination of sardines, pork rinds, and peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Even with the more sloppa components of my diet, I'm still never touching seed oils.
Idk what exactly this costs me, but I have no doubt it's well under $10/day, and I have tons of energy. People eating McGoyslop has become genuinely incomprehensible to me. Yesterday I saw a line of cars at the In N Out drive thru that was literally stretching off the property and out of sight.

You bring up a good point, I too have a few "core meals".
Generally I keep a lot of steak in the freezer, I probably eat steak every other day. I buy the whole slab at Costco and cut it myself. Also lots of eggs. Steak and eggs are a classic favourite.
As well, I buy roast chicken, like the ones at Costco, but there is a local grocer who makes them and they taste way better, it's a bit more expensive but it's worth it. And then I eat a lot of grass fed ground beef, either I make hamburger patties which I just fry up with salt and eat or I make it with those taco seasoning packets and have it with eggs.
Seasonally, lamb goes on sale twice a year and when it does, I stock up. Also when turkey is cheap I buy that as well. I also enjoy pork chops, especially on the bbq but also fried in a cast iron pan. Chicken wings on the bbq are also a favourite. I can't wait until it gets warm so I can use the bbq again.
If I have a woman around, I add some vegetables and potatoes because they freak out when it's just meat.
Also sometimes I get the "bad stuff" ie. sausages, bacon and breakfast sausages. I haven't gotten any in awhile though.

The things I buy most at Costco are the big slabs of steak that you can cut your own (a lot cheaper than the pre-cut ones), eggs and veggies (esp. salad greens). The roast chicken is popular there and a great price (but I prefer the taste of the ones at a local mom and pop grocer). You really can't go wrong with a Costco membership.
That all sounds pretty fire. I definitely miss eggs, I'd get those powdered too if they weren't so absurdly expensive. Last time I checked it's like 60 bucks for the same size tub as the 9 dollar powdered peanut butter.
I’ve been addicted to sardines forever now, and everyone I know thinks they’re disgusting. Lmfao. It’s cheap as fuck too. I also love to make tuna, and chicken salad regularly.

I think the choice of flavor affects it a lot. I exclusively get either in Louisiana hot sauce or Mediterranean style (Chicken of the Sea brand exclusive.) Olive oil is *okay,* mustard is very meh, plain in water is the most unappetizing, but I still wouldn't call it gross.
I’m actually a native Louisianian, and I just buy the plan and add hot sauce afterwards if I’m feeling it. We’ve got a couple of local ones I enjoy. The regular LA one is good though. If you have access to it, you can try some of the crab/seafood boils too. All are good on boiled eggs too. We like to pickle the eggs down here in crab/seafood boil sometimes.
Yeah my diet's changed for the better last several years. Body is always full of energy. The mind/brain though, that's another problem to work on.
But otherwise I am gradually having 2 sometimes 1 meal a day. Not intentional, just happened to change after eating cleanly for a while now. My body is nourished and well and I listen to my body
Meals are just baked potatoes with butter and roasted meats, or smoked salmon, cheese, eggs & pickles. Sometimes lighter meals are just honey & peanut butter. Or a variation of Greek salads.
I'm mostly keeping full drinking lots of coconut water, juice, raw milk or filtered tap water & tea.
When I get fancy I make big soups and stews that carry me for weeks.

Edit: name checks out. 😁

Getting the skins all crispy and coated to shit with salt is one of the best things I've ever eaten.
